KC's Birthday cake and decorations

I realized a couple of thing while baking Kailyn's birthday cake and cupcakes. #1 I'm not a baker! #2 Don't bother with homemade cake, just go with box mix because it tastes better. #3 let a baker bake the birthay cake.
I tried three different homemade cake recipes and although they were not bad, they were not as good as a box mix. So...after multiple trial runs and several cupcakes later I decided to go with a box mix. I did succeed on homemade icing!!! Yay for me! Above are the pics of the final cake/cupcakes and some decorations.
