Cinderella Excitement!

Oh my these make me smile!
Cinderella is starting!
she can not contain her excitment

Kailyn loves the movie Cinderella! She has not seen many other "princess" movies to compare to. To be honest, I won't allow her to watch a few of them! Some of the Disney movies are a little scary and have some questionable components. Really, can you go wrong with cute, singing mice? We do have Tangled on order which I know she will also love!

Snuggle Time

gotta love those cheeks and chins - he he!

so cute!
I know I have said this before in blog posts, but my kids adore each other. They are best friends!! Sure, they fight at times and Luke doesn't always like the hugs and kisses from his sister. Majority of the time they are playing well together giggling. They both get a little lost when the other is not around.

Painted Fingernails

showing Bubby her pretty nails
letting her nails dry
I have painted Kailyn's toes several times in the past, but never her fingers. She asked if we could paint her fingernails the other day so I thought we would go ahead and give it a shot. She was so cute while I was painting!

Family Birthday Celebration

she kind of liked the cake!
yes, she did blow out the candle before we started singing
Cass with Grandpa

The boys and Gracie

The birthday girls
13 and 2
We celebrated Ally and Kailyn's birthdays with the Milnes family last Friday night. Ally is now 13!!! It was a fun evening celebrating the two girls.
Ally was such good sport reading all of Kailyn's birthday cards for her!
My kids literally ran circles around Jeff and Karen's house until they dropped.
They both fell asleep on the way home.
Kailyn just cried for us to let her stay in the car and sleep once we got home.
It wasn't a pretty site, but we survived once again!
Kailyn is a very spoiled little girl getting more cute dolls and pretty clothes!

My Little Man

I seriously have the cutest little boy! He is the sweetest son and big brother. Kailyn really scored big time! He is always watching out for his little sis and helping her get whatever she needs (ahem...wants). Our little Kailyn is very lovey! She loves to give hugs and kisses to all of her family and friends. Luke is usually the center of her affections which he doesn't always appreciate, but he humors her (most of the time).

Story time:
I was walking into church a few weeks ago holding Luke's hand and holding Kailyn. Kailyn saying, "I walk mommy!". I said, "no Kailyn there are a lot of cars so mommy is going to carry you". Of course she follows with the infamous, "why??". I was a little frustrated at this point as we are rushing into church so here was my response, "well kailyn, we kind of like you and don't want you to get hit by a car". ok, maybe not the best response. so here is my favorite part! Luke pipes in with "welllllll....sometimes I like her and sometimes I....." I think I stopped him here while I was trying to hold back my giggles.

Another story??
ok if you insist
Kailyn received a wand for her birthday so she has been dancing around singing "ba boo, ba boo"
this of course is bippity boppity boo!
Luke gets a little on edge and hides because he thinks she may turn him into a pumpkin!
ok story hour over for now
Luke has those sparkly blue eyes and a smile that melts his momma's heart! He is funny, smart, and so thoughtful! He loves his family, friends, and even his little sister. You see mommy eaves drops on their conversations and he is often asking her if she is ok, or if she needs help, or offering her his pink car to play with.
I can go on and on about my little man, but it is getting late so this will have to be enough for now!

PINKALICIOUS

Kailyn's Pinkalicious 2nd birthday party was a hit! She had so much fun just having a few friends over to celebrate her special day! I can't believe my baby is TWO! She absolutely loved the pink party! She is such a girly girl twirling her her pretty pink skirt, all dolled up with her new jewelry (thanks to kristin), and what would we do without her pretty pink shoes? She adores them and would wear them every single day if I would let her. There are lots of pictures below, but the one picture I neglected to take was my pink candy buffet! It was so cute with pink cotton candy, pink sixlets, pink iced animal cookies, pink strawberry wafers, and pink yogurt melts for the little ones! I'm so tempted to put my leftovers back in the glass canisters just to take a picture. hmmm.. maybe tomorrow!
One year ago!
She blew out her candle like a champ!

probably my favorite picture of the day - captures her excitement!

the super sweet and very pink cupcakes!
kids seems to like them, but I took one bite and went into sugar shock
