I loaded up the kids on Monday and headed to Shelbyville for the night. The kids were so excited to play with Allison and Emily (Lucas calls here M-E-M). Lucas and Emmy got marshmallow guns for Christmas and tried them out in Aunt Marney's house. They had the best time! They played with those guns for hours and Kailyn enjoyed following behind them eating marshmallows (nice). I was able to meet Monica and Mills for dinner that night while my sister took care of the kids. When I got home Lucas and Emmy were sleeping together and Kailyn was in bed with Allison. Kailyn lasted until about midnight and then slept with me. It was a great visit to the ville!

Kailyn was FINALLY feeling better by Sunday and we were able to visit Grandma, Grandpa, and Granny before they left for Florida. It's a Milnes tradition to hide some gifts for the kids. Grandpa does all of the hiding and the kids LOVE hunting for their goodies. I'm so glad our kids got to participate even if it was a couple of days late.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS MORNING!! I may have been more excited then the kids. We all work up early, the kids climbed into bed with us and started singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Priceless!! Then we prayed together before heading to the living room to check out our stockings! We had all their other presents under our tree in the basement. We made them eat breakfast first before heading downstairs. This may sound somewhat evil, but they had no idea there were more presents downstairs until just before we let them down!

This Christmas was spent with just my kiddos and my wonderful husband. Kailyn had the flu bug which I would like to add is actually not the flu. Influenza is more of a respiratory illness that can occasionally cause some gastrointestinal symptoms, but the vomitting/diarrhea that most people call "flu" is actually gastroenteritis. So..let me correct myself and say that Kailyn had a virus causing gastroenteritis. Kailyn spent the day either sleeping, getting sick, or watching Cinderella (for maybe the 20th time in the last two days), but finally perked up a little in the evening to open a few presents. Lucas got to play outside in the snow with Daddy.

The Boys

Jackson, Lucas, and Max
silly faces!

Surprised!

After Luke's Christmas program Max and Jackson came over to play for a couple of hours. The boys had a great time playing together and I was able to get a couple of pictures of them - yay! Jackson exactly one week older than Lucas and Max who were born on the same day.
