Beautiful Morning
Mark has the day off so I decided to try a new pancake recipe for breakfast. Whole Wheat buttermilk pancakes with fresh strawberries on blueberries were on the menu. Luke help me mix it all up while Daddy and KC read stories on the couch. Wonderful breeze blowing in through our open windows - perfection!! After our tasty and healthy breakfast we went for a family bike ride. I love this weather! I love fall and am being teased with this cooler weather we have had these past couple of days. Can't wait for sweatshirts, soups, bike rides, pumpkin patch, pumpkin spice latte, etc. Above is a picture of our breakfast.

Home Sweet Home
We had a fabulous time out on the lake despite the bronchitis, ear infection, and conjunctivitis. None of it seemed to slow us down too much. We had a wonderful end to our vacation with a visit from the Millers. My sister took the kids on Saturday evening so we could have an adult dinner. The Millers fixed us porkchops with a spicy salsa on top with asparagus and salad. It was so yummy!! It's always a good time with Larry and RoseMarie. There is always lots of laughing!!! I have one more quick visit at the end of the month when my dad is in town and then it is goodbye until next summer. Now I'm in preschool mode (preparations anyway). Need to get supplies!! Backpack ordered, new Nike shox ordered. That's all a boy needs, right? I have a few weeks to get some organizing around the house done and then Mark and I are off to Sanibel Island!!!

LeBlanc/Milnes 2010
We had an fantastic time with Chris, Kristin, and Katelyn. They arrived Thursday evening and left this afternoon. Lucas has already been asking, "where are all MY people?" and KC said, "Kayen, bye bye". We couldn't have asked for better weather and the kids really enjoyed being in the water. It was just so relaxed and I loved it!! It is just so comfortable around them. That is the best way I can describe it. I have hundreds of pictures so deciding on a few to post will be sooo difficult, but I will do my best. We can't wait to all get together again soon. We are already planning our trip for next year - keeping our fingers crossed for the Keys!!! Wouldn't that be fantastic! I know, I'm already excited. I'm hoping to also make it to Houston in November for the Nutcracker Market. We've been trying to plan that for a couple of years now and I think this just might be our year!!!

So Excited!!!
I'm beyond excited for the LeBlanc's to arrive in the midwest!!! I talk to Kristin almost everyday, but we rarely see eachother in person. We really need to change this! I'm thinking annual LeBlanc/Milnes getaway! Well, I'm off to clean, pack, make lists, etc for our upcoming trip to the lake. I'm also squeezing in a trip to Tuscola with friends on Tuesday. Fun times to come!!!!

Dinner Time
I am such a stickler about our family eating together each night and sitting at the table. We have some of our best moments around our dinner table. There is always laughter, silly faces, and funny stories. After dinner a couple of days ago, the kids each got a cookie (very crumbly). Mark was slightly horrified at the crumbly mess surrounding his daughter. She had it everywhere - in her hair, booster seat, table, etc. With an exasperated look he went downstairs and returned with the vacuum cleaner. He just took the little attachment and started vacuuming Kailyn. She thought this was hysterical and giggled the whole time. It was too funny.

Project
My parents brought my old baby doll crib up from Houston last time they were in town. She loved playing with it when we were in Texas and since she is the last grandchild they were ready to pass it on. I've posted some before and after pictures above. When I took it outside to paint yesterday Kailyn sobbed at the door because she loves it so much. I think she is happy with the end result (she could really care less) as long as her babies have a place to sleep at night. She does put her babies to sleep in their bed every night, covers them with a blankie, kisses all of them, and then says,"night night" before she walks upstairs.

Fun Neighbors
Mr. Henson has always been a blessing to Mark and me. He often brings us food from the Farmer's Market, his wife makes chocolate covered strawberries, etc. His most recent gift was a little more mischievous. We found some beautiful pears hanging from our pear tree just outside our house. I have pictures posted below. If you look closely they are glued onto green ties than he has attached to our tree!! He is so much fun!!
