Go Luke!
Luke started taking swim lessons again at the YMCA. He really enjoyed his first class even though he is the only boy and the oldest. He was actually showing off a little bit and making sure
the girls were watching him. oh my!!! he did a great job!!! i love watching him swim because you can see how much he loves it! he has done gymnastics and soccer and had fun,
but this is different.
Ok, let's move on to my sweet Kailyn. She did not do so well at Luke's swim lesson. Let's just say, she is not much of a "watcher", but more of a "participator". She whined about not getting
to join the class and then preceded to take her shoes off
and
HER DRESS
and
ATTEMPTED to remove her pull-up, but I forbid her to do so
so....
she sat in only her pull-up on the floor
while slowly scooting her body closer and closer to the side of the pool.
Yes, I of course took a picture of her escapades
and yes
the other moms were giggling under their breath (i was too)
and yes
she recovered nicely by allowing me to get her dressed and
cheering on her big brother by the end of the class
she is still not happy about not getting to swim with her bubby
i can't wait until his first day of school! i'm preparing for whining followed by tears
silence treatment and of course the infamous bottom lip sticking out so far
i'm still not sure how her jaw does not get sore from.
Oh Kailyn! So many fun and no doubt dramatic years ahead of us!
